amazon, Insurance Claim Help, insurance news, insurance policy, Loss Assessor

With Amazon announcing the launch of their online Insurance Store, we as insurance claim experts have come up with our best advice for when you claim on your insurance from Amazon.

Amazon launch new insurance comparison tool

The Amazon Insurance Store will offer a simple and convenient way for users to shop for home insurance by providing like-for-like quote comparisons based on users’ answers to essential questions. At launch, quotes will only be available from three insurance companies; Ageas UK, Co-op, and LV = General Insurance.

The Amazon Store will soon populate with more big insurance companies and overtime will offer insights for better decision making such as customer reviews, star ratings and insurance claim acceptance rates. Amazon have been eyeing up the UK insurance market for some time and have now finally pulled the trigger to begin taking on the established likes of Comparethemarket, MoneySuperMarket, Confused.com and Go Compare.

Amazon home insurance policies

All home insurance policies in the Amazon Insurance Store start with the save level of cover. This is called the Amazon Standard of Cover, protecting policyholders from some of the most common causes of home insurance claims.

If you are struggling to understand all the different terms and clauses in your Amazon insurance policy, check out or insurance policy glossary here. In the event of a claim, it is important you know how to interpret everything in your insurance policy, and with the help of a loss assessor such as Oakleafe Claims, this will be made easy. Claiming on Amazon insurance

In the event of damage to your home from a fire or flood for example, you will very likely be making a claim on your insurance from Amazon. However, before you even think about making a claim, you must take necessary actions to mitigate any further damage and ensure your home is safe.

Following the incident, you should notify your insurance company immediately about what happened. Contact the 24-hour helpline of the insurance company to give them the important details and begin the claims process.
